In August, the sun blazed fiercely over Karamay, its heat emanating not only from the scorching northwest sun but also from an industry gathering that brought together elite professionals from the energy sector. On August 15, the three-day 7th China (Karamay) International Oil, Gas, and Petrochemical Technology and Equipment Exhibition (hereinafter referred to as the Karamay Oil Exhibition) concluded successfully.

This year's exhibition, themed “New Drives, New Manufacturing, New Energy Efficiency,” brought together over 400 exhibitors and tens of thousands of professional visitors from around the world. It not only showcased the latest scientific achievements in the energy sector but also provided participating enterprises with premier platforms for product display, technology launches, collaborative exchanges, and international trade. Kangwo Holding and Hydrogen Alcohol Ecosystem made a significant impact at this premier event in the “Oil City” with their methanol-based distributed power stations.

Methanol Breaks Through, Reshaping the Energy Landscape

As traditional energy pathways face dual pressures from ecological red lines and high cost barriers, the restructuring of the energy landscape urgently requires breakthrough solutions. Fueled by innovation, methanol-based distributed power stations offer a game-changing approach to energy transition. Powered by methanol fuel, this product incorporates multiple technological innovations—including an intelligent oxygen consumption compensation system, pre-air intake system, and dynamic heating system—achieving a 10% boost in power performance and limiting altitude-related power degradation to under 15% at 4,500 meters. Its stable, sustained power output pulses through oilfields and mines like a robust green lifeline, driving fundamental energy structure transformation in high-consumption sectors.

The implementation of cutting-edge technology always relies on robust manufacturing capabilities. The company operates a 44,000-square-meter intelligent production facility capable of producing 10GW of engines, units, and various products annually, providing solid support for large-scale application and market expansion. Here, digital warehousing systems, intelligent AGV logistics systems, and engine assembly lines and test lines are deeply integrated. Digital platforms like ERP and MES ensure seamless data flow throughout the entire process. With a 75% automation rate, human error is significantly reduced, embedding “reliability” into the very DNA of each piece of equipment. Every unit deployed to the field is engineered with military-grade quality to withstand the challenges of complex operating conditions.

Energy Efficiency: Leading the Green Revolution

Energy efficiency performance serves as the core benchmark for evaluating energy equipment. The methanol-based distributed power plant showcased at this exhibition has undoubtedly delivered remarkable results. Achieving dual milestones—reducing NOx emissions by ≥98%, PM by ≥97%, and CO by ≥93% while cutting fuel costs by 50%—it has completely overturned the industry's long-held assumption that “high energy consumption inevitably leads to high emissions.” Equipped with an intelligent oxygen consumption supplementation system and methanol recovery technology, it achieves highly efficient fuel utilization. With a maximum alcohol-to-electricity conversion rate of 2.1 kWh/L, a single set (12 units) of power stations saves 1.875 million yuan in annual fuel costs. Its tolerance for extreme environments ranging from -40°C to 60°C ensures stable power output whether deployed in scorching desert oilfields or oxygen-deprived high-altitude mining areas. Currently, methanol-based distributed power stations have achieved large-scale deployment across oilfields and mines operated by major enterprises including CNPC, Sinopec, Shaanxi Coal, and Xinjiang Mining Group. Their exceptional energy efficiency metrics are driving the advancement of “green oilfields” and “green mines.”

Demonstrating unique advantages in technological innovation, energy efficiency, and emission performance, methanol-powered distributed power stations shone brightly at the exhibition, emerging as one of its focal points. On-site demonstration units were snapped up by customers, promptly shipped to operational sites, and put into service immediately after the exhibition concluded. Over the three-day event, Kangwo Holding booth drew massive crowds. Experts, scholars, corporate leaders, and industry media from around the world visited, alongside delegations from Karamay City and the three major energy giants—CNPC, CNOOC, and Sinopec. All expressed strong interest in the technical breakthroughs and application prospects of the methanol-based distributed power stations. Staff maintained enthusiastic and professional engagement with every visitor, fostering a vibrant atmosphere. Over the three days, Kangwo Holding secured numerous valuable cooperation opportunities while gaining precise insights into market demands—critical data that will guide future product development and strategic planning.

Moving forward, Kangwo Holding and Hydrogen-Methanol Ecosystem will use this exhibition as a starting point to continuously advance technological R&D and product innovation. We will drive the iterative upgrading of methanol energy equipment and deepen its application in core scenarios such as oilfields and mines. Simultaneously, we will actively expand into Central Asian and global markets, contributing Chinese solutions to the worldwide energy transition and writing more remarkable chapters in the journey toward green development.
